CUPCAKE WORKSHOP
The Toba Garrett Cup Cake Workshop is a 3-course program that teaches you how to bake cupcakes for upscale design, create basic designs and move to a more advanced technique in creating sculptural cupcakes. Each course is independently offered so you can enroll in the specific course you want to learn! We advise though for you to take all 3 courses for a complete experience of the workshop under the diva of cake designing in New York.
Cupcakes have become the new norm in the confectionery industry in New York. They are used at a variety of functions, such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, children parties and retirement functions. Because they are small size and usually in paper wrappings – cupcakes are easy to eat, and serve and they can come in a variety of flavors.
BAKING FOR UPSCALE CUPCAKES (15 slots only)

Good cupcake recipes are the hallmark to beautifully-designed cupcakes. These recipes are designed to stand-up to a wide variety of cupcake decorating, including a wide variety of buttercream and royal icing pipe work techniques and rolled icing designs. In this workshop, Chef Toba has included several of her favorite recipes, including almond paste, chocolate and high-yield yellow cupcakes recipes. Demonstration and hands-on. BASIC UPSCALE CUPCAKE DESIGN (15 slots only)

Decorate easy yet intricate looking floral and fruit designs in this basic course on cupcake design. The cupcakes will be iced and decorated with beautiful butter cream piped borders such as single and two-toned rosettes, star flowers, grapes, sweet-pea clusters, and leaf designs. ADVANCED UPSCALE CUPCAKE DESIGN (15 slots only, students must have the required competencies to enroll)

In this workshop, the focus is aimed at creating beautiful cupcakes with a lot of thought process in mind. These cupcakes will be iced in buttercream icing and adorned with beautifully three-dimensional designs, such as marzipan raspberries, strawberries, lemons and oranges, and chocolate fondant designs, such as fabric roses, and leaves. These will be sculptural pieces that you would think twice to eat! Demonstration and hands-on. P6,000 or P5,500 with early bird discount inclusive of AHA apron, toque and ingredients.

Creative cookies will be the next cupcakes in New York! Learn how to design cookies like you have never imagined before! Each cookie will be a delicious “work of art”!

Chef Toba will teach advanced design techniques that will create a sculptural design form. Techniques such as rolled icing, cameos, tuxedo design, textured rolling pins and embroidery piping will be highlighted in the workshop. Demonstration and hands-on.
